MemSoph ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have over your data when you use the MemSoph service.
We collect the following categories of information: Account Data: When you create an account, we store your email address and authentication credentials. Conversation Data: We store your chat messages and AI responses to provide the service. We also store corrections you make to the AI — this is the core functionality of MemSoph. Usage Data: We collect anonymized, aggregated statistics about feature usage to improve our service. This data cannot identify you personally. Payment Information: Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card details. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment processing.
To provide and maintain the MemSoph service. To personalize your experience (your corrections teach the AI). To process payments and manage subscriptions. To improve our service through anonymized analytics. To communicate with you about your account.
Your data is stored on Supabase servers in the European Union. We use industry-standard security measures including encryption at rest and in transit. Row-Level Security ensures you can only access your own data.
Free tier: Corrections are retained for 7 days. Chat history is limited to 500 messages. Pro/Premium tiers: Corrections and chat history are retained indefinitely until you delete your account. Anonymous trial users: Data is deleted after 30 days of inactivity.
You have the right to access your personal data, correct inaccurate data, delete your account and associated data, export your data (Pro/Premium users), and object to processing of your data. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@memsoph.ai.
We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We use Microsoft Clarity for anonymized heatmaps and session recordings. We do not use advertising cookies.

The MemSoph Chrome extension (the Extension) extends the MemSoph service to any webpage. This section explains what data the Extension collects and how it is used. Data Collected by the Extension • Selected Text: When you select text on a webpage and click the MemSoph bubble (or use the right-click menu), the Extension captures the selected text and sends it to your MemSoph account as a memory. The Extension does not read, collect, or transmit any other text on the page. • Authentication Data: If you are already logged into MemSoph in your browser, the Extension reads your existing MemSoph session cookie (named sb-*-auth-token) to recognize you. This allows you to use the Extension without logging in again. The Extension does not access any other cookies. • User Preferences: The Extension stores your preferences, such as whether the floating bubble is enabled and whether you want to review text before saving, using Chrome's built-in storage APIs (chrome.storage.local and chrome.storage.sync). These preferences are never shared with third parties. How the Extension Uses Your Data • To save the text you explicitly select as a memory in your MemSoph account. • To display a brief confirmation toast (Memory saved to MemSoph) after saving. • To sync your saved memories with the MemSoph web app. What the Extension Does NOT Do • It does not collect your browsing history. • It does not monitor your clicks, scrolls, or keystrokes. • It does not read page content in the background. • It does not use remote code. All JavaScript is bundled within the Extension package. • It does not sell or share your data with third parties. Limited Use Disclosure The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Permissions Used by the Extension The Extension requests the following Chrome permissions, each strictly necessary for its single purpose (saving selected text as memories): • activeTab: To detect text selection on the current page when you interact with the Extension. • storage: To save your preferences and store memories locally when you are not logged in. • contextMenus: To add Save to MemSoph to the right-click menu when text is selected. • notifications: To show a confirmation toast after a memory is saved. • scripting: To inject the Selection Bubble content script into web pages. • cookies: To read your MemSoph session cookie so the Extension can recognize you. • Host permissions (<all_urls> and https://*.memsoph.ai/*): To enable text selection capture on any webpage and to sync memories with the MemSoph backend. Data Retention for the Extension Memories saved via the Extension follow the same retention policy as the MemSoph service (see Section 5). Locally stored memories, when you are not logged in, are kept in your browser until you log in and sync them, or until you clear your browser data. MemSoph is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page.
